This piece is a 1849 poem and a popular Christmas Carol written by Edmund Sears. The arranger aranged this into a bell quartet, using singing bells and suspended mallets at the start to bring out the silence of a starry night. In the middle of the piece, the melodic line is transformed from the bass ringer to the top, a 4-in-hand technique as accompaniment is applied. The tune comes back like an echo that is fading, with suspended mallets to end the piece.
